LBI Beach Badge Information

There are still a few towns on LBI where you can still buy seasonal beach badges at a discounted rate.  Long Beach Twp for example, seasonal badges are $30 up until June 15th, after that they go up to $40. In Beach Haven, you can get discounted badges up until June 22, with their prices matching those of Long Beach Twp. There is also still time on the North end of the Island, as Harvey Cedars also has discounted rates of $30 before June 15th. Ship Bottom and Surf City have stopped selling their badges at a discounted rate, both had deadlines of May 31st.  Same holds true for Barnegat Light who also stopped selling badges at the discounted rate. Click on any of the towns to view their current pricing on beach badges.  Most towns won’t start checking for badges for a few more weeks, so there is still a little time.  Be aware of which township you are in and what their pricing  and policy is on beach badges. Have a great summer!

Summer Selling Tips at the Jersey Shore

Memorial Day Weekend has shown us how traffic to the Jersey Shore increases.   Here are some simple tips to take advantage of this time of year when trying to sell your home. Outside curb appeal and first impressions are always very important, especially in the summer.   Keep your lawn, shrubs, flower beds and rock beds tidy and trimmed.  Flowers and flower pots add color and are very welcoming. A clean and refreshed front entrance is crucial to first impressions.  A fresh coat of paint, new or polished hardware and/or kick plate are an inexpensive and worthwhile investment.  Another well-spent investment is power washing walks, decks and siding as needed. Now we can move to the interior of your house.  Try to keep the house as cool and comfortable as possible for potential buyer appointments.   This will allow the prospective buyers to take their time when viewing the home. Clutter and too many personal items can be distracting to homebuyers.  Get a head start on packing by removing some photos, knickknacks and other items not needed.  This allows for a more open and spacious look. Touch-up painting always helps, especially in high traffic areas.  Keeping things neutral can also be a plus.    Refreshing your bathrooms with grout and caulk as needed is also an inexpensive way to add to the appeal of your house. In general these simple, inexpensive tips can make your house the ONE THAT STANDS OUT above the others. Enjoy your summer – Stay cool!!!!!
