Dan is one of the Owners of the Agency and oversees the Commercial Insurance operation. He came to work for the company after graduating with a degree in Management and Information Systems from St. Joseph’s University. In 23 years with The Van Dyk Group, he has worked in many roles in the Commercial Insurance Department that have allowed him to learn all aspects of the company before becoming an owner and continuing the family legacy within this Agency. Being appointed to numerous Agency Councils for the Partner Companies of the agency along with serving as President of both the Big I of NJ Young Agent Council and Big I of Monmouth/Ocean County has allowed him the opportunity to build Van Dyk’s relationships with colleagues and carriers throughout the Country.
Outside of the office, Dan is the proud father of his four children and husband to his wife Michelle. Having been born and raised on Long Beach Island and growing up in this area, he has been able to watch his kids grow up in the same schools and community that he spent his childhood. His free time is spent golfing, traveling, and attending the sporting events and shows of his children. He looks forward to watching the company grow and hopefully seeing the next generation of his family continue the agency’s legacy in this community.
