Tara McGinniss is the Personal Lines Operating Manager with The Van Dyk Group since 1998. Tara’s primary role is overseeing the policies and procedures of the insurance business, with a strong focus on adhering to the industry’s standard of Best Practices within the Department. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in History from Georgian Court University, she started her career initially in journalism with a local paper and was introduced to insurance through a side job in publications. She has over 36 years in the insurance industry, the last 23 years with The Van Dyk Group. She is licensed in Property, Casualty and Health as well as receiving her designation in 2000 as an Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI). Originally from Pennsylvania, her family moved to New Jersey in 1977 where they had a summer home and graduated from Southern Regional High School, Class of 1980. She currently owns a home in Manahawkin and enjoys gardening as well as spending time with her dog Penny.
