The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) enables homeowners, business owners and renters in one of the 23,000 participating communities to purchase federally backed flood insurance. Managed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the NFIP provides coverage for damage to structures and contents from flooding, flood-related erosion, and flood-caused mudslides not covered under most property policies.

While flood insurance in NJ is available to all homeowners, many are required to have it—particularly those who live in a high flood-risk area. To see your property’s risk of flooding or find out if you are required by law to obtain flood insurance, click here.

Buying a house can be stressful and this was especially the case for my wife and I as first-time home buyers who were looking for a home to buy and move into before the arrival of our first child. Art took a lot of that stress away and really helped us have a great home-buying experience. He is extremely personable and worked tirelessly to get us to a dozen or more showings until we found the house that we loved. I would highly recommend working with Art if you're looking to buy or sell property.
